However, I was wondering if there were other sources of distribution online that might provide better prices. The answer I came up with was maybe.

I first went to the Home Depot site and chose two very different types of Hampton Bay outdoor lights. I then did a number of internet searches to see if I could find the identical lights from a different source at a better price.

I chose the Hampton Bay Solar 8-Pack 2 Tier Standard Solar Lights. These solar lights are very stylish and have a lovely brushed nickel finish. In a pagoda style these lights have enhanced brightness and extended run time. The run time is a full 10 hours when fully charged. I also chose the Hampton Bay White Renaissance 3 Head Post Lantern which is a beautiful outdoor pole light. This Renaissance is constructed with cast aluminum and has three lanterns with clear bent glass. It has beautiful design that will enhance your outdoor lighting scheme. It has a weather resistant white finish and will resist rust. This type of outdoor pole lighting is perfect for both driveways and pathways. It is available at Home Depot for $139.00.

The first place I looked was the Amazon website. I had previously noted that Amazon had a wide selection of outdoor lighting and, in fact, in previous posts I have included a link to the same. Amazon does indeed have Hampton Bay outdoor lighting but not in the either of the models I had chosen for this experiment. I then went to the shopping part of aol. I could find what I was looking for but the click just directed me back to the Home Depot site. The same thing happened with the Yahoo shopping page and another shopping website.

The only site on which I had partial success was a site called pricegrabber. On this site there is often a price comparison of products across a number of different sources such as Home Depot, Lowes, faucet direct, improvement direct and lighting showcase, etc . Pricegrabber website did have a wide range of outdoor lighting with some price comparisons. It even had some Hampton Bay outdoor lighting prices comparisons. However, with my particular solar lights and pole light it only had one price and that was the price at Home Depot.

In conclusion, it is possible to shop around to find the best price on certain Hampton Bay models. It always pays off to do some market research before you buy anything for peace of mind.
