Add some sparkle to your next garden party by adding some outdoor party lights. With the right arrangement and a bit of planning on your behalf your next party can really dazzle. In my opinion, this is one area of entertaining that is constantly overlooked and rarely given enough priority in party planning. When hosting a party people generally tend to think that their existing outdoor lighting will suffice. Or perhaps they think adding a few citronella torches will add an exotic appeal. Not only will the party be too dark to recognize your friends, your guests will go home with the feeling of unmemorable darkness and the party will soon be forgotten.
Designers all over are adding outdoor party lights to their list of must-haves when planning a party, whether it be an intimate dinner party or a large neighborhood block party. Outdoor lighting can set the mood of the party or delineate different areas of the party. For example, some areas that serve food should be more illuminated than areas that are for more intimate conversation. The different variations of lighting are only limited by your imagination.
So what exactly are outdoor party lights? There isn't a simple answer to that question. Outdoor party lights are not a specific type of light. They are defined by the manner in which the light is used. Although they can be functional, function is not their primary purpose. The following is a very short list os some examples of such lights:
1. Rope lights wrapped around the trunks of a cluster of trees. This effect is best when they are 3 or more trees in the same general area,
2. Snowflake shaped lighting or globe lighting hanging from tree branches, and
3. Rope lights delineating a pathway much like emergency lighting on the aisle of a plane.
It is best to be creative when arranging your outdoor party lights. Anything that adds pizazz to your party will work just fine. In deciding on what lighting you want for your next party you should start planning at least a few weeks in advance. That way you will be able to have a few dress rehearsals on the evenings leading up to your party. It's best to know what the lighting looks like before the night of the party. Also you will want to make sure that there are no electrical cords that might cause someone to trip.
Make your next party a memorable event by adding some simple outdoor party lights to the mix. You will be suprised by the impact and so will your guests.
